Welcome to Freedom Students!

Why Are We Called Freedom Students?

We believe that our students make up the body of Christ just as much as any other believer. Instead of having a cool name that would separate us from the church, we choose to be a part of our church by keeping the same identity. Doing this helps our students to understand that they are still considered to be a part of the church body here at Freedom Fellowship.

About Freedom Students

Our Purpose

Our student ministry is a student-driven, Christ-centered ministry. Our goal is to live out Galatians 2:20 which says, “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” The purpose of that goal is to see students Living IN Christ and Reaching Others For Christ. We achieve that goal by Loving God, Loving People, and Doing Life Together.

Why We Do What We Do

This stage of life is so important in a student's life as they begin to transition to a deeper understanding of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We want our students to understand what it means to live in a community with other followers of Christ and to dedicate their lives to The Father. That is why our Wednesday night worship gathering is called LINC.

How Do I Know If My Child Qualifies As A “Student?”

Our Student gatherings are for middle and high school students (grades 6-12). Parents are always welcomed and encouraged to come worship as well during our Wednesday night LINC service.

Our Schedule

All of our students are encouraged to join us on Sunday mornings for our worship service. During this service we worship as the body of Christ and hear a message from our Pastor that always gives us a challenge.

Sunday nights from 5-7pm our students meet for Small Groups. The girls and guys meet separately during this time to help create an environment of openness. This allows students to become comfortable with the other students and leaders around them so they can ask hard questions.

Wednesday night is our LINC service for students. This takes place from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at our church. Students can arrive as early as they want to help setup and hang out. We eat a meal that has been provided by some of our dedicated parents at 6:45pm. Our students then hangout and play outside until 7:30pm when we head into the auditorium for our Worship Gathering. During this time, we worship through singing, and taking God's word and walking through an in-depth lesson.

How Can I Stay Up To Date As A Parent?

There are plenty of ways to stay informed and connected with our Student Ministry. The first is through our social media platforms: Facebook and Instagram. We post events and details of upcoming events there for you to find.

We also have a parent email that goes out weekly that has the sole purpose of keeping you, as a parent, informed. If you are not receiving emails, please reach out to our Student Pastor via his email: josiah@freedomfellowshipsc.com and he will make sure that you are included on those emails.
